Air to Ground Radio

An air-to-ground radio system is a system to communicate between ground operation service providers and pilot via VHF within a radius of the airport in order to facilitate and expedite the flight operation, such as providing passenger information, preparation of tools, and spare parts, fuel consumption, and medical service requests. AEROTHAI has provided radio communication rental services to various airlines. Types of the radio communication system are as follow:

  • A/G Base Station is for communicating between ground stations and aircraft (Air to Ground Radio Communication) within a radius of 200 nautical miles.
  • Remote Control Unit (RCU) connected to the base station provides remote control and telecommunication from the user's office.
  • A mobile aircraft radio (A/G Handie-Talkie) is a handheld radio used for air-to-ground radio communications within a radius of 10 nautical miles.
  • A/G Mobile Radio is installed in a vehicle to provide an air-to-ground radio communication within a radius of not more than 50 nautical miles.
  • A/G Mobile Radio for desktop is a stationary type of radio for air-to-ground radio communication within a radius of not more than 150 nautical miles.
