Types of Flight Inspection

Site Evaluation     

are flight inspections done for the purpose of locating appropriate sites for the installation of air navigation aids so that the radio frequencies from the radio transmitter can be transmitted in all directions without being distorted by the natural geography and topography of the surrounding area.

Commissioning

are flight inspections done for the purpose of analyzing and assessing the performance of newly installed air navigation aids stations.

Periodic 

are flight inspections for each air navigation aid that are routinely carried out to assess the accuracy of performance before commencing live flight operations across the country.

Special

are flight inspections specifically undertaken for a specific objective or unusual circumstance such as to assist in the investigative processes.
