On August 6, 2021 Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd. (AEROTHAI) delivered the Automatic Portable Signal Light Gun (APSLG) to SHEARGOLD Ltd., the United Kingdom.

Automatic Portable Signal Light Gun (APSLG) is for aerodrome air traffic controller to transmit specific light signals to pilot when there is communication failure. AEROTHAI has designed and developed this APSLG by emphasizing on user’s requirements. The user is able to select how to transmit light signals whether to use automatic set or manual control by pressing the button according to the desired light signals (code). The automatic set is an important feature of APSLG in case there is an emergency occurring since the controller does not need to remember the signal code. This APSLG reduces the human error in pressing an inappropriate code.
