On Thursday, August 22, 2024, Business Development Office and staff members welcomed Captain Manuel Antonio Lara Tamayo, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). The visit involved a tour and discussions on advancements in air traffic control technology, regional cooperation, such as Air Traffic Flow Management, personnel development, and innovations in aviation through the ICAO Next Generation Aviation Professional (NGAP) Program. The discussions also covered collaboration on DataLink Services to support air navigation and airline operations, as well as other potential business partnerships.

During the visit, Captain Tamayo also toured the Aeronautical Network Operations  Services Department on the 1st floor of the Operations Building and the Manufacturing and Maintenance Department at the Mahamek Building.
