Mr. Farid Zizi, President of Air Navigation Commission (ANC), International Civil Aviation Organization, and the members of ANC paid an informal visit to Thailand during 6-7 July 2015.
The purpose of the visit is for the ANC to familiarize themselves with regional and local aviation activities and challenges. The ANC had a meeting with Mrs. Parichart Kotcharatana, Director General, Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) and discussed with the delegates of Department of Civil Aviation, Civil Aviation Training Center, Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Limited (AEROTHAI), Thai Airways International Public Company Limited and Airport of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT). After the meeting, Mr. Somnuk Rongthong, Executive Vice President, together with AEROTHAI Executives welcomed ANC delegates at AEROTHAI Headquarters and presented the progress of Thailand Modernization CNS/ATM System (TMCS) Project. AEROTHAI Executives also led them to the facilities of the future Air Traffic Management Centre (ATMC), ATM Network Management Center and Contingency and Training Center (CONTRA). In the evening AEROTHAI hosted a reception in which Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong presided over the reception, attended by the President of Thai Airways International PLC, Director-General of the DCA, President of AEROTHAI and delegates from AOT.
