Aeronautical Radio of Thailand or AEROTHAI is willing to support APEC Meeting and making preparation for accommodating APEC Economic Leaders. Procedures of Air Traffic Services and relevant measures have been deliberately arranged to ensure safety, security and smooth transport.
Mr. Nopasit Chakpitak, President of AEROTHAI said; “This is a pleasure and honor for Thailand to host APEC Economic Leaders Meeting. This significant event will encourage the APEC Members to open, connect and balance for sustainable, balanced and inclusive development. For aviation sector, it is a good opportunity to revive and reveal the potential and readiness to serve a wide range of transport and travel. To facilitate APEC Leaders and Delegates, AEROTHAI has prepared Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Air Traffic Services, Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) and Ground Traffic Management. Airspace Management has been also organized for safety and security. While the operations of unmanned aircraft will be monitored under No Drone Zone announcement issued by Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. Safety, security and smooth operations have been prioritized for the Leader and Delegates.”
The President added; “AEROTHAI is working closely with airports, airlines, security organizations and relevant organizations to support this significant event. Coordination Center is set up to serve and facilitate all flights. While air traffic management system, technology, staff and contingency plan have been prepared for safety in accordance with global standards.”
