Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI) has won for the tender, at 160 million Baht, for supply, delivery,
installation and commissioning of Communication, Navigation and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management
(CNS/ATM), including meteorological equipment and other related services for Gautam Buddha Airport,
Bhairahawa, Nepal, on 7 March 2019, which is planned to be completed in 2019.

Mr. Somnuk Rongthong, President of AEROTHAI, said; “Nepali Government constructed the Gautam Buddha
Airport in 2016 as the second international airport to support tourism and economic growth. Civil Aviation
Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has carried out this project, under the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB),
which is now step to the second phase.  This project covers installation, testing and commissioning,
flight calibration of navigation and communication systems, together with flight procedure design.”
