Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Limited (AEROTHAI) is a state enterprise under the Ministry of Transport and Communications. It was founded in 1948 by airlines with the consent of the Royal Thai Government to provide air traffic control and aeronautical communication services for airline operations. Later in 1963, the Government acquired the majority of the Company's share capital from the founding airlines thereby altering the Company's status to that of a State Enterprise.
The
Company's 6,600,000 registered shares, with a total value
of Baht 660,000,000 are divided into two categories: A total
of 6,000,000 A-shares held by the Government, each valued
at Baht 100 fully paid at Baht 600,000,000. A total of 600,000
B-shares held by member airlines, each valued at Baht 100
fully paid at Baht 60,000,000. The total number of member
airlines in 2009 is 83.
